Cheap Wine in a Wedding Banquet?

Cheap wine in a grand wedding banquet?  The wedding at Cana where my Jesus' first miracle took place was saved with high quality wine. Wine saves weddings in Israel in Jesus' time, and weddings then took some days to celebrate, often 7 days. I don't know if it's still like that today there, but I'm sure quality wines are still very much part of such banquets. I can see this as a parallelism to the future big wedding banquet that will happen when Bridegroom Christ marries his Bride, the glorious church--his body, his one flesh--according to Ephesians. To save that event, Jesus needs to turn water into wine. That event is in danger of being spoiled by the lack of quality wine. Imagine cheap wine being served in that banquet? My Jesus said he wouldn't taste the fruit of the vine again until he drinks it anew in the wedding in the Kingdom. Of course, this wedding banquet in heaven is sure to happen as scheduled and with the best wine because it has be

Prayer Slows You Down

Righteous prayer is powerful. It avails much in the spiritual realms. But when misused, prayer slows you down. Sadly, most prayers in born-again Christian churches today are dead because prayer has been misused. Take this for instance. How do you measure effective prayer? You'd likely say, if it's answered. And how do you tell an answered from an unanswered prayer? You'd likely say, if you got what you asked for. Hence, we hear them say, "Answered prayer" when they get what they asked for. But most "answered prayers" are really general blessings. You'd get them with or without prayer. Some church people conclude that a moneyed person or church is thus because of a powerful prayer life--every prayer is answered. But if you look closely and are aware of Kingdom principles in the bible, you'd see that the so-called "answered prayers" are all general blessings--blessings God give to both the righteous and the wicked.  In fact

When God Tells You to be in the "Wrong" Place

It's easy to say, "Stay in God's will," or even in the center of God's will. The problem is, our concept of what "God's will" is always fits what our ego or flesh craves for. We imagine that will to always make "things work together for good." And work together for good to our minds means we'll "live happily ever after." We often forget that God's will and best place for his beloved Son was the cross. If that was God's best for the Son, how about for us? When my Jesus found himself nailed on the cross, he shouted, "Why have you forsaken me?" He was then in the center of God's will in the very true sense of the term. Some folks would say that being in God's will makes everything go well for you. It will give you money and convenience and favors in the world. Well, it didn't for Jesus. Because most times, being in God's will makes you cry, "Why have you forsaken me?" When my J

The Religious Demon is a "Christian"

The religious demon is often a "Christian." These last days, Satan is going to focus more on deceiving Christians to fool even the elect, if possible. So hordes of religious demons are out to destroy believers. These are deadly spirits, demolition experts. Self-Righteous They really believe God is not just in their churches--he is confined to them. Because God is stuck in their churches, they consider their church buildings sacred. So they don't permit you to eat inside their church buildings. God would get angry. You're also not suppose to express your full emotions in church because that shows weakness. We're supposed to be strong and sturdy folks who always manage to stay calm and formal and decent. And they observe other such foolish traditions. They love talking about how God cares for them and cuts you short with how God is on top of everything once you begin to sigh about your problems. Sighing about difficulties is unacceptable to them--it mea

Are You Just Using My Jesus?

What If Jesus Didn't Save You from Hell? Do you really love him or are you just using my Jesus? A lot of Christians "accepted" Christ because they heard about hell and dreaded ending up there for all eternity. Well, that is scary, and scared people will grab at anything that will get them out of danger. Once you see something that will save you, you'd use it, right? Many Christian saw Jesus in that light and used him. They "accepted" him. But they never surrendered. Many others saw him as a solution to their problems. Well, my Jesus is the Way, not just a way out of troubles. And they get frustrated because even after 'accepting' Jesus, troubles still happen. I wonder--what if Jesus didn't save you from hell? Would you still "accept" him? Would you still love him and worship him as you're doing in church now? Would you still talk to him? Countless times I've seen church people, even leaders and pastors, who did

Another Jesus

Paul talked about another Jesus to the Corinthians. Specifically, he said if he or any preacher should teach about another Jesus or another Gospel, a curse be on him or her. And many think today that Paul merely made a slight digression when he talked about it, not realizing that it was a prophecy. He was hinting on a real another Jesus coming to the church scene which the apostle John said was already active (spirit of anti-Christ) in their time and yet to be revealed in the last days--in our time, that is. And today, they're worshiping that other Jesus in church. Roman Catholics worship a Jesus statue and one that seems to be inside their small rounded Eucharist cracker (and which born again Christians also use), others worship a distorted Jesus (mere human Jesus or a Jesus confined to a building or specific day of the week), while born again  churches worship a worse kind of other Jesus . They're all the another Jesus . The one born again churches worship is wor

Empowered Suffering

We are called to suffer for the Gospel. Paul calls it "suffer," but really, God's Kingdom has a different vocabulary which often has meanings exactly opposite from how the world defines words and terms. Like suffer . Suffering for the Kingdom is always an empowered suffering. "Join me in suffering for the (Life of Jesus) Gospel, by God's power," [2 Tim.1.8].  Suffering is Power! Suffering means being empowered. The less you suffer in your Christian life, the less you are empowered. You ask God in prayer to take away all your hardships, the more powerless you become. This does not mean. however, that you ask God to pour you tons of problems. Remember Jesus' tip on prayer? "Don't lead us to temptation (or tests), but get us out of evil." For sure, we will all get our share of hardships in life. But some would opt out and pray to be spared of every problem. Sometimes they get an answered prayer and think they're so ble

Concert Mania for God: But is HE Really There?

Image
All day worship, non-stop worship, super concerts. Wow! With the coming of  electronic and digital technology, perfecting sound systems have become possible. Human voice and instrumentals have never blended so accurately harmonious before--and voice ranges incredibly reached with amazing clearness, perhaps like that of heaven's own music. So churches today have zeroed in on music more than at any time in history.  They have come up with "non-stop worship" and concerts. In fact, they spend a lot of money for these and send their youths investing time, effort, and money, and even health on the same. They spend their energies and sleepless nights over them.  I love music and concerts to the Lord. I love the way some individuals master the Lord's intense presence and "bring it down" to where they are so that people around get the bread crumbs that "fall from the table" of such individuals. Wow! Praise God! I wish I had the same anointing

Love and Forgive Your Enemies?

Image
Love and forgive your enemies. This is often either ignored or misinterpreted by many churches. Again, as in other articles I've written here on similar subjects, people often think to love and forgive your enemies means to let everything go along it's course, especially the wrong, and you meekly accept it all, hoping things would come out better in the end because "all things work together for good." And more and more church people today seem to avoid conflicts, confrontation, and "judging" to preserve what they think is "harmony" or "peace" that they have, especially in fellowship. They'd rather pretend nothing's wrong when something is wrong, and sometimes keep wrong things secret, talking about them in secret meetings and careful not to leak the thing in church--to give the church denomination an immaculate image.  That's not the glorious church, for sure. That's the clandestine synagogue of Satan. For in

The Meek?

Image
The meek will inherit the earth. This is the third teaching of my Jesus in the Beatitudes. Some versions render it gentle and humble in spirit .  Most people have this idea that being meek means docility (easily controlled or managed), extreme tolerance, and being very nice to people. Nothing short of slavery. If you're meek then they should be able to easily enslave you and order you around. Strangely, this was not how my Jesus was. He was, of all people, impossible to control or manage. Not even Herod or the Roman Empire was able to do that. And definitely, he was never Mr Nice Guy. What then is being meek? Jesus gave us a hint what Kingdom meekness was when he gave the Sermon on the Mount, talking about being poor in spirit, mourning, being desperate for righteousness, being merciful, etc. But then, talking about being merciful and peace makers, Jesus lambasted religious leaders of his time without mercy, calling them fools, hypocrites, white-washed tombs, and hin

Without Revelation You Die

Image
Jesus Christ revealed--this is the Rock where Jesus builds his church, a church which crashes the gates of hell. Jesus once asked the disciples who people from the villages said he was. After saying this and that, Peter finally said Jesus was the Messiah, Son of God. My Jesus commended him and said that such insight was not from men but a revelation from God. "And upon this rock," he added, "I will build my church." "This rock" is revelation that comes from God, revealing deeply (and much deeper each time) who Christ is. That's what the context says. Some think this rock referred to Peter, because Jesus had said, "I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock.." Jesus was actually telling him, compared to this revelation Peter was a small rock. However, a small rock with a big revelation of who Jesus really is becomes the Rock (God) on which Christ will build the true church. No, you don't become God, but your life becomes hi

Deadliest Punishment of All!

"I'm quite sure of this--evil folks will not get away with their sins unpunished. But those who live right before God will be set free." [Prov.11.21] The wicked will surely be punished. Well, honestly, we see so little of this going on today. I've seen people and families and clans who have been in position of power and wealth but who have been doing a lot of wickedness for ages. They seem never punished. They even seem to grow richer and more powerful, enjoying comfy and convenient lives--even those in church. While many of those who genuinely serve God seem to get poorer and weaker by this world's standards. But make no mistake about it--the Word of God is true. God makes sure the wicked do not go scot-free unpunished, and that's on a daily basis. And they get the deadliest punishment of all. If you don't realize this or don't see this happening daily, you're spiritually myopic--you see only what's under your nose--or do you? It

Hosea: Old Wine and New Makes You Dull

Image
Old wine and new--you've got to decide what you really are. You cannot be both. Anyone in Christ is new. The Word is clear that the old is past, and there's only the new. You cannot be an old and new creation at the same time. And yet, if we look around churches, this is what most Christians are. They claim to be born again and yet look and live the same way they did when they were yet non believers--well at least they've gotten rid of their statues and idols and they're now active in church. But that's garbage, too, if you're not a genuine new creation getting newer in Christ each day so that you yourself are no longer seen by people but they see Jesus. God's flesh. Yes, God is spirit, but we are his flesh on earth. They should see God in you, and you cease to be seen any longer. Here's how Hosea put it: "..they've left the Lord in favor of prostitution, to old wine and new, which make them dull (spiritually) and given to idol making a

Perfection is Resting in Jesus

Image
Steady unbelief in perfection makes people want to do things more perfectly their own way. It's ridiculous seeing people stubbornly insist on refining their church programs and activities to perfection, insisting that what they do for God should be done with the best of all they have. They practice repeatedly their songs, special numbers, presentations, etc., until they "perfect' it for God. Sometimes they do that from afternoon to night to dawn. Losing sleep for what? And yet, these same people maintain that we cannot be perfect because we're only human . Fleshly perfection like that ends up in spiritual burnout and exhaustion. Revelations says these churches look alive but in reality they're dead. But genuine perfection is resting in Jesus. Funny people. They believe with all their hearts they cannot be perfect in this world--and add God understands them because they're only human--but they exhaust all means giving God a perfect church minis
